Small in-12 (approx. 16 × 10.5 cm), 29 pp., paperback, cream-colored cloth-covered cover printed in blue, typeset by Guy Lévis Mano. First volume of the “Voix de la Terre” series, the first installment of which was published by GLM between 1949 and 1951. This collection, dedicated to world poetry, is one of the defining series in the typographic output of Guy Lévis Mano, who was a publisher, printer, poet, and typographer. The specialized bibliography lists this volume as Coron 299. An edition of the poems of Jean de Sponde (1557–1595), bringing together *Les Amours*, *Les Stances*, and *Les Sonnets de la Mort*. The volume includes a preface by Marcel Arland. A beautiful typographic work, entirely set in 9-point Fournier type and printed by Guy Lévis Mano. One of the 1,250 copies on vélin paper, this one being No. 403. Copy preserved in its original filled cover, a welcome condition for these fragile GLM publications.
